March is Bicycle Month in Broward County.
The FVA is offering a public awareness fundraiser Private INTRO TO TRACK CYCLING program. The 6 – 3 hour time slot programs will be held on the weekend from 3-6pm, for any cycling group or groups that would like a private, closed session.
This is an opportunity to ride and experience the track with your cycling friends. No group is too small or too big (well almost – we can handle up to 12 at one time!). The cost of the 3-hour fundraiser is $100, regardless of how many are in the group.
The 6 time slots available are:
Saturday, March 7th, Sunday, March 8th,
Saturday, March 14th, Sunday, March 15th
Saturday, March 28th, Sunday, March 29th
Learn about fixed gear riding (it is very safe!) and riding in a paceline (a little different than road). Depending on the experience, the FVA can also cover: Flying 200, Match Sprints, Pursuit, Scratch, Standing Starts, etc. There are MANY ways to ride the track!!
